I made all of these using the cricut machine and the paper doll cartridge. Each of them were created for my Grandsons and Granddaughter.

More Quilling, with your scrap booking paper scraps
My Sis and I started quilling about a month ago. So we are definitely amateurs. She fell in love with the flowers and I with the designs. Here are a few of the flowers she has made and a hat she decorated with them for mom's B-Day.
These are a few of my practice designs. Quilling is new to us, but very fun. If you have never tried it I encourage you to. Check out the tutorials at the bottom of the page.

Quilling with your scrap booking paper scraps
I have to admit, when I discovered guilling, I fell in love with this art. I have bought some papers, but being a scrapbooker for what seems like forever, I have a bin full of paper. So I got out the cutter and started cutting pieces myself. So scrapbooker's here is an art you will enjoy embellishing your pages with and that gives you that opportunity to use up some of those scraps.
Mom's Birthday Gift
I started with the letters. I used my cricut machine and cut the letter with the Mickey Font Disk. I picked my colors with the concept of sunrise to sunset. There is a tool you can purchase to work on, but I used a square piece of foam my sis got from the bottom of a box. I turned it upside down and lay my pictures on it , straight pin them in place and copy or fill in. It works great! I do not have a measuring board yet, but I have ordered one for some future projects. It is a good tool, and for all you perfectionist, you will want one. After I finished the letters I glued them onto a white circle. Then I began with the colored hearts around the inside edges, coordinating the colors to the letters. Then I began creating the swirls, and mounting them in place, again coordinating the colors. Once I had it in circled I mounted it on a purple paper. I then added the white hearts. When this was finished I trimmed the purple around the hearts and mounted it on the blue.
Was it hard, no. It was repetitious and time consuming.
Here are a couple of other fun projects that I have done.
Mario for my Grandson
An abstract (STEVE) for a male cousin
I have an anniversary gift I am working on and a tree. I will post them soon.
At the bottom of this page there are some videos on how to quill. Check them out.

Grocery Bag Hanging Plant Holder
This hanging plant holder is made from grocery bags and liquor store bags. (AM/PM, Arco).
Supplies: Scissors, 6 to 8 bags, a ring.
Start by flattening bags out, trimming off the bottom seam, and handles. Open the bags up and flatten again.. Starting at the bottom , cut into single layer of the bag at an angle up to about 3 to 4 inches. Continue cutting until you have a long string. Continue this same process until all bags have been cut. You will need 20 to 24 strings about 3 to 4 times longer then the length you would like your plant holder.
Fuse the bags using wax paper process as described above.( folding the strings long ways.)
Loop each string onto your ring. Start tying simple square knots, using for strings. 1 on each side and 2 in the middle. Continue this for for 6 rows.
Row 7 , dropping down 15 to 20 inches pull 2 strings from side by side knots and tie another square knot. Continue all the way across row 7.
Row 8, dropping down 3 inches, use 2 strands from side by side knots and tie square knots all across row 8.
Row 9 - 12 Repeat row 8.
Row 13 - 22, Bring all strands together. This time using 3 strands on each side tie half of a square knot. Continue tying half a square knot always starting from the same side. This will cause the knotted area to spiral.
When finished cut off strings leaving about 8 to 10 inches.
Put your plant in!
Grocery Bag Holder
I found a tutorial at Thread Banger, showing how to fuse together grocery bags. It was so simple I had to try it. Once their fused together you can sew them!
I added letters, cut with my cricut machine, just under the first layer before I fused them together.
to fuse you flatten out the bag, trim off the bottom seam and the handles. Open the bag up and then smooth down flat. fold in half ( now you have 4 layers), fold in half again ( now you have 8 layers) Take out a piece of wax paper about twice the size of your bag and sandwich it inside. Set Iron to medium, and press, never letting your iron stop moving. It takes about 30 to 60 seconds.
This bag holder that I made took 8 bags. 3 sewed together for the front and back and 2 for the handles. Be creative .

Recycled Tee Scarf
Supplies: Tee and Scissors
Start by cutting off hem. Then angle cut in to about 2 inches and continue cutting around the tee in a spiral. When you come to the end angle cut out. Now tug on the string and it will curl.
Wrap the tee string you have cut around your neck leaving about 2 feet at each end. Tie these ends around all the strands in a square knot. I also cut a small piece from the remaining tee and tied it around the back side. Weave in the remaining ends. Have fun designing your own.

Recycled Tee Adult Belt
Supplies: 2 Large Adult Tees
1 Buckle
Begin by turning your tee inside out and cutting off the hem. Then carefully angle cut into the tee, starting at the bottom, up to about 2 inches. Continue spiral cutting your 2 inch strip around the tee ending at an even spiral as far as you can. You will need 4 strings about 3 to 4 times your waist measurement.
Loop each string onto the middle line of your buckle. Begin tying square knots using 3 strings for each knot, alternating the strings. Continue until long enough to go around you. Trim off hanging strings to about 1 inch. Then weave in the remaining ends.
